Brownies

Yesterday on Instagram, I posted that I was making these. I told several people that the card was on my blog - it wasn't until now!  Sorry if you came by earlier for it - but here it is :)
I usually substitute the brownie part with Ghiradelli double chocolate mixes. If I use two, I bake in a jellyroll pan and keep the frosting & ganache with the original amounts. If I use three mixes, I bake in a large cookie sheet with sides (baker's half sheet) and 1 1/2 times the frosting & ganache. They are worth making - enjoy!

One more...

I now realize that I should have posted after I made all my recipe cards! With that being said, here is a yummy pasta dish. Warning - it does have a lot of ingredients and several steps but it's really good! You could spice it up with using spicy sausage and even some red pepper flakes :)

Yummy Recipe

This is a yummy marinade recipe. I love to grill these and dice them up to have in the fridge for salads.  It's also delicious warm with brown rice and veggies :)

New for Fall

Fall is in the air (some days anyway!) here in the South. My sister gave me this recipe to try - I'm not much of a soup person - I enjoy the stew/chili types of soups - so this was up my alley.  It really was yummy and I actually prefer it over rice - just like my stews and chilis :) Hope you enjoy!

cookies

I've tried a million recipes for cookies and they are all similar. This one uses dark brown sugar - I normally use light and so the different taste is really a yummy change.  It uses about a cup more flour than traditional dough which make them a puffier cookie. You can make them nice and big - golf ball size - but bake a couple more minutes longer.
I do prefer semi-sweet chocolate chips in my cookies but boy are these good with the milk chocolate!! Enjoy :)

Favorite Things Party

Each year a great friend, Melanie, hosts the most fun party - "Favorite Things!"
We are put into groups of 6-7 girls and we bring our fave thing(s) for each member in our group. It is so fun to see what everyone loves - there is makeup & hair supplies, kitchen goods, jewelry, crafted items & all sorts of fun stuff! This year I made a "Girl's Night In" goodie bag for all my ladies - you can see it below.
It was also a great night because Rebecca came into town from Amarillo for it - extra bonus :)
These are the treats I brought to the party. I think everyone loved them except Rebecca who hates coconut. But Mel doesn't like coconut and really liked them - go figure!

What's coming to dinner?

These are going with me to a dinner party tomorrow night - I'm opting for the ice cream and hot fudge on top too :)
Good thing I've done some extra cardio today!

Perfect Yum!

I got this recipe off of HowDoesShe? - they have a lot of really fun and great ideas. I wasn't sure how they really would taste so we broke down and made some last night - YUM!
It's not really an "eat the dough" kind of recipe. The melted butter makes it a little flat rather than nice and fluffy. But the cookies look great since you dip them into chips before cooking. This recipe made about 2 1/2 dozen with the size we made - Happy Baking :)
